A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at our large spacious semi-detached residence built for a Sea Captain in the late Victorian period. It offers comfortable accommodation on 3 floors consisting of 7 double/twin rooms en suite and 1 single room with private bathroom. On the ground floor there is a large room with double and single beds ideal for guests with restricted mobility.

The Esklet is situated in a quiet location close to the town center. Within minutes you have access to the Historic town center, harbour, beach and countryside. You can visit the Abbey made famous by Bram Stoker’s Dracula novel written at his residence round the corner near the James Cook monument. In the old town you can see where James Cook lived and sailed from the internationally known harbour.

The Esklet is also ideally situated for touring the local area famous for the natural beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors National park. Visit the Heartbeat country, enjoy the Steam Railway passing through it. Make the most of the many scenic walks or simply enjoy the many beaches and view the dramatic coastline including Robin Hood’s Bay and Ravenscar.
